What is the Rosemount 03031 LCD Display (LCD Meter)?

The 03031 “LCD meter” is a local display module designed for Rosemount transmitters (such as the Model 3051) to show process readings and diagnostic messages locally.
It is not a standalone transmitter; rather, it is installed on or integrated into the transmitter electronics housing as a visual readout.
The display module is often offered in “meter kit” form (which includes the display plus mounting and interface parts) or “meter only” form, depending on how the transmitter housing is configured. For example, part number 03031-0193-0103 is a “meter only” version for an improved-style housing.

How It’s Installed & Used

The LCD meter is mounted on the electronics board side of the transmitter housing. It connects via a 10-pin interconnection header.
To install, one must remove transmitter covers, install jumpers (alarm, security), insert the new meter into the header, secure it with screws, and attach an extended cover.
After installation, the meter must be configured (scale, units, decimal point, etc.) using a HART communicator (e.g. Model 275) or AMS software.
Because the meter is ESD sensitive, special handling precautions must be observed when installing or servicing it.
